Expanding pathways to clean transportation
About HEFT
The Hydrogen Energy Foundation Trust (HEFT) is a Colorado nonprofit focused on expanding understanding, opportunity, and workforce readiness in hydrogen and clean transportation through education, practical demonstration, and collaboration.
We work to help communities, educators, industry, and public institutions better understand hydrogen technologies, connect learning to real-world experience, and support healthier, more prepared communities over time.
Education
HEFT supports understanding through workshops, public learning opportunities, and clear, accessible materials that help people engage with hydrogen and clean transportation in practical terms. Our goal is to make complex topics easier to approach without oversimplifying them.
This includes presentations, community-facing learning experiences, explainers, videos, and other resources that help people ask better questions, build confidence, and connect technical ideas to real-world relevance.
Workforce Readiness
HEFT works to strengthen workforce readiness by helping people move closer to the skills, exposure, and opportunities needed in a changing transportation landscape. That includes supporting awareness of hydrogen technologies, career-connected learning, and practical pathways into related work.
We see this work as collaborative by nature, involving technicians, fleets, training providers, schools, colleges, and other institutions working to prepare current and future workers for emerging clean transportation roles.
Demonstration
HEFT believes learning is stronger when people can see technology in practice. Demonstration helps make hydrogen more visible, understandable, and tangible through real-world examples, applied experiences, and public-facing opportunities to engage with vehicles and related assets.
Rather than relying only on explanation, demonstration connects understanding to lived experience. It creates opportunities for communities, educators, trainees, and partners to interact more directly with hydrogen technologies and better understand how they may be used in the real world.
Partnerships
HEFT is built to work in collaboration with others. We believe stronger outcomes come from partnerships across communities, educators, training institutions, industry, OEMs, fleets, local and regional governments, and public institutions.
Partnerships help connect knowledge to action. They make it possible to expand learning, strengthen readiness, support demonstration, and create broader public benefit than any one organization could achieve on its own. If you’d like to partner with HEFT, fill out the form below.
